Project Manager

Hybrid / London

Salary: circa £50K, depending on experience.

THE are looking for an experienced full time Project Manager to own the delivery of the strategic data projects. This includes existing ranking products, new products we are creating, and research we undertake.

You will be responsible for the strategic data projects delivery from inception to implementation including: documenting scope and priorities, managing risks and issues, creating schedules, enabling efficient delivery, and communicating effectively with stakeholders across the business. While primarily working with colleagues in the UK, this also involves some working across timezones, different cultures and companies.

Key role responsibilities:

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, delivering, and completing projects within scope:

  • Project governance: Monitor and control resources and budgets available. Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Ensuring projects meet requirements and are delivered according to scope, time, cost, and quality metrics.
  • Project Planning: Develop and track against project plans vs scope, budget, schedule, and resources.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, stakeholder, and steering group updates.
  • Client Collaboration: forge relationships, understanding their requirements, manage expectations and providing regular project updates.
  • Teamwork: fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment with the Data team, Product teams and business stakeholders to understand, prioritise and deliver against the agreed project roadmap.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication with clients, partners and internal teams to ensure project success, through team planning, standups and retrospectives.

Skills and experience:

  • Ability to demonstrate the aptitude and attitude to take responsibility for successful delivery of projects.
  • Strong understanding of both research and product development lifecycles including multiple delivery methodologies and the experience and ability to decide on the most appropriate for each project.
  • Excellent communicator, negotiator and influencer: the role involves close collaboration with key business stakeholders, product managers, data scientists, software and infrastructure engineers and commercial teams.
  • Comfortable with reporting at an executive level as the role will involve frequent senior management progress / milestone reporting updates.
  • Highly motivated, delivery focussed, pragmatic and have an open and honest approach.
  • Able to work both at a detail and strategic level as and when required.
  • Demonstrable experience with formal project management methodologies, ideally with Project Management certification.
