Research Associate (Health Technology Assessment)

The Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research Centre (HIPER) (https://hiper.nus.edu.sg/) at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH), NUS, is seeking to hire research staff with relevant experience to lead and support work on health technology assessment (HTA).

The Research Associate will play a critical role in the development of the Centre’s growing research agenda to support health policy and services research in Singapore and the region, gaining the opportunity to work with leading experts and policy makers in the field. The successful candidate will be expected to perform research administration, conduct research, disseminate research findings, and be involved in capacity building through conducting workshops for local and regional participants. As a Research Associate of the Centre, you will be presented with various opportunities to further develop your skills to ensure personal growth in your career.

Requirements:

  • Applicants are expected to possess a postgraduate degree in related field such as Biostatistics/ Engineering/ Economics/ Pharmacy/ Public Health/ Computer Science.

Applicants with following experiences and skills are preferred:

  • Experiences and/or research interest in any of the following areas: mental health/wellbeing, chronic kidney disease, precision medicine, antimicrobial resistance, early HTA, real-world evidence, value-based care
  • Health economic modelling with Markov cohort model/ discrete event simulation/ dynamic transmission modelling.
  • Data analysis or data management using electronic medical records, clinical trial data, survey data, and observational data.
  • Systematic review and meta-analysis
  • Use of software like R, STATA, Excel, or other similar software

Qualifications

  • Applicants are expected to possess a Master's degree in related field such as Biostatistics/ Engineering/ Economics/ Pharmacy/ Public Health/ Computer Science.
